Release notes for the kWhPulse API and developer site.

  1. Site redesign

    New developer marketing site and mobile-first API reference, with a live try-it widget on the homepage.

    • Interactive demo on the homepage (state code or ZIP → live historical price chart)
    • Mobile-first redesign across all pages
    • Pricing comparison table for all four tiers (Free, Hobby, Pro, Business)
    • Code samples in curl / Python / JavaScript

  2. Date range filter parameters now work on all price endpoints

    The start and end query parameters now correctly filter /v1/prices/state, /v1/prices/zip, and /v1/prices/utility by inclusive YYYY-MM period.

  3. Historical coverage extended to 2001

    Backfilled monthly state-level prices for all 50 states + DC for 2001–2016 from EIA Form 861, bringing total coverage to 25 years of monthly data.

  4. kwhpulse.com custom domain + TLS

    API and docs are now served from api.kwhpulse.com and kwhpulse.com with managed TLS via AWS Certificate Manager.

  5. Initial launch

    First release of kWhPulse with endpoints for state, ZIP, utility, rankings, and compare queries. Free signup live.
